Jim Adams

Jim Adams has been a professional entertainer for over 30 years.  He began his professional career on the stages at Disneyland, where he became known as the man with a thousand faces and voices.  He is now recognized as one of the top entertainers and ventriloquists in the nation!

His unique approach to drama and comedy is brought forth as he uses a cast of colorful characters to create an unforgettable family experience which will delight adults and children of all ages.
Join James, the Professor, and his many friends as they bring to life the Gospel through laughter, drama, and song.

Tim Reed

7th & 8th Grade Week:
June 25 - July 1

High School Week (9th - 12th Grade):
July 2 - 8

Tim Reed has been a favorite of campers at Clydehurst for over 20 years. He has a real heart for mentoring the young and helping the hurting. He is a popular youth speaker, ministering to hundreds each year. Tim’s dynamic style of communicating the Word, mixed with humor and unique visuals, will educate and motivate those who hear him.

Tim has had the opportunity to travel and minister in 15 different countries, many of which were taking groups of young people on service projects. He has shared the message of hope in almost every state in America. Tim has written many articles on youth ministry and leadership training and has been involved in equipping hundreds of youth workers nationally.

Along with writing, teaching, and consulting, Tim continues to be actively involved in local church ministry. Tim and his wife, Dixie, have two children, Tara Miller and Timothy Justin. They reside in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Joey Dodson

Family Camp #1:
July 9 - 15

Joey Dodson is Associate Professor of Biblical Studies at Ouachita Baptist University and the young adult pastor at First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia, AR. He received his Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland and was a guest researcher at the University of Tübingen in Germany.

Joey has spoken at countless churches, retreats, schools and conferences both near and far. What Joey brings to the pulpit is a rare mix: the mind of a scholar, the heart of a pastor, and the wit of a comedian. Joey met his wife, Sadie, when they were in first grade. They married in 1995 and have one daughter and four sons. Joey loves hanging out with his family, watching sports, hiking, writing, and traveling.


Scott Gilchrist

Family Camp #2:
July 16 - 22

Committed to knowing Christ and making Him known, Scott Gilchrist has been teaching God’s Word at SWBIBLE Church for over 35 years. Scott combines a warm personality with a clear, well-illustrated exposition of the Scriptures that emphasizes how relevant God’s Word is in today’s world.

Scott began the ministry of Downtown Bible, a weekly teaching event now attended by several hundred business people in Portland’s business district. It is heard on the radio as well, and has expanded to become a worldwide outreach through the internet and on the radio in Liberia. His conference and speaking ministry has enabled him to teach Christian leaders in Africa, Russia, India, Europe, Japan and the United States. Scott is a board member of Multnomah University.

In his free time, Scott is a baseball enthusiast who also enjoys woodworking and making the occasional guitar. He and his wife, Kristi, have been married for 42 years and have five married children and eight grandchildren.


Dr. Gene Getz

Family Camp #3:
July 23 - 29

Gene Getz has been a friend of Clydehurst for many years, having directed the first Youth Camp in 1954. He taught at Moody Bible Institute for 15 years before joining the faculty at Dallas Theological Seminary. In 1972, he launched the first Fellowship Bible Church which has grown into a movement including hundreds of Fellowship churches.

Gene has authored over 60 books! His most significant project to date has been the Life
Essentials Study Bible
, the first ever multi-media Study Bible. This unique Bible includes 1500 "Principles to Live By" and 1,500 QR codes so the reader can access Gene's teaching videos. Today, he serves as President of the Center for Church Renewal.




Dr. Jim Gwinn

Family Camp #4: 
July 30 - August 5

Jim has served as a vice president of Moody Bible Institute; president of Crista Ministries; and now is chaplain at Outdoor Resort Palm Springs in the winter.

He and his wife, Karen, have two sons, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jim has spoken at Clydehurst many times over the years, and it is a favorite place of ministry and fun for their family.

Dr. Paul Jones

Family Camp #5: 
Aug.  6 - 12

Paul Jones is a second generation Baptist pastor who grew up along the Rocky Mountains of the American West.  Upon graduation from Liberty University he went to South Africa as a missionary to the Xhosa people.  After his return he graduated from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary and was called to the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Billings, MT. Emmanuel is known for producing pastors, missionaries, and planting churches. Paul holds a Ph.D. in church history.

During his tenure at Emmanuel, attendance has increased from 200 to 1000. Now in his 27th year as Lead Pastor, Paul is leading Emmanuel to make 2016-17 a time of new vision and even greater commitment to the kingdom of God. His sermons can be found at myemmanuel.net

Paul has three adult children and five grandkids that are the delight of his life.  An avid sports enthusiast, he loves the Montana outdoors.


Darin McWatters

Family Camp #6:
Aug 13 - 19

Darin McWatters is the Pastor of Teaching and Mission at Arbor Road Church in Long Beach, CA (1bl.org). Prior to his current role, Darin served as a teaching pastor at Rockharbor Church in Costa Mesa, Program Director and Founder of the Joshua Wilderness Institute at Hume Lake Christian Camps, and lead singer of the Christian band Everybodyduck. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Darin and his wife Shannon have been married for 19 years and have four children, Jack, Hank, Lily, and William.
