I’ve been at Clydehurst for seven years, and what I love most is watching families interact and seeing the pure joy of youth campers as they move from one activity to the next. Clydehurst gives everyone a chance to step away from our busy, noisy world and focus on the Lord and on one another. I also treasure seeing our summer staff grow, in their skills, relationships, and, most importantly, in their walk with God.
I have a bit of an adventurous streak, like the time I ended up teetering on the edge of a Russian train platform as a train zoomed past just inches away! Stories like that still make my heart race.
While I don’t always get to be there, July 4th at Clydehurst is a special highlight for me; a day full of fun, community, and camp spirit.
If I weren’t working at camp, I’d probably be involved in international ministry while writing and publishing books on the side. And yes , there’s almost always a cup of tea close at hand.
